What is ARC Raiders?

ARC Raiders is a third-person multiplayer extraction adventure developed by Embark Studios. Raid the surface alone or with up to two teammates, gather supplies, and return to the underground settlement of Speranza.

Your raids support a loop of crafting, equipment upgrades, and Trader quests. ARC machines, other players, and changing map conditions create different risks each time you head Topside.

When was ARC Raiders released, and which platforms can I play on?

ARC Raiders launched on October 30, 2025. It is available on Windows PC through Steam, Epic Games Store, and Xbox Play Anywhere, plus PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.

Is ARC Raiders free to play?

ARC Raiders is a paid game. A limited event will offer full-game access on Steam, Xbox, and PlayStation from October 8, 2026 at 09:00 UTC until October 12 at 08:00 UTC.

Can I play ARC Raiders solo or with friends?

You can raid solo, as a duo, or in a squad of three. Solo play is still online multiplayer; ARC Raiders requires an internet connection, an Embark ID, and a platform account.

Does ARC Raiders support crossplay and cross-progression?

Yes. ARC Raiders supports crossplay and cross-progression between Steam, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S through an Embark ID. Link your platform accounts to the same Embark ID to keep your progress and in-game cosmetics together.

Does ARC Raiders have a PvE-only mode?

As of October 4, 2026, the standard experience is PvPvE. Embark has announced a PvE matchmaking test for October 13-20, with player-to-player damage disabled. Some map conditions are excluded and loot values are reduced. The toggle will be removed when the test ends; a permanent PvE mode has not been promised.

What happens to my loot if I fail to survive an ARC Raiders raid?

If your raid ends in defeat, you lose the equipment and items you brought in, along with loot collected during the run. Items in your Safe Pocket are protected.

When is the ARC Raiders Frozen Trail update coming?

Frozen Trail is scheduled for October 8, 2026. Announced additions include the Pendola Pass map, new ARC threats, the Outpost, new weapons and gadgets, and a Reward Pass system. These additions are upcoming as of October 4.

Are there ARC Raiders reward codes I can redeem?

Eligible purchases at participating US Subway locations can provide unique, single-use reward codes through October 26, 2026, while supplies last. Codes are redeemable until November 10. We have not verified a reusable public reward code as of October 4, 2026.
